IAS Exam and its duration


Period of examination


1.Application for prelims can be had from Head post office during the month of december
2.Preliminaries is conducted on last sunday of May every year.
3.For those who qualify the prelims ,main examination is held between October/November in the state capital

Note :
1.For those who pass in the prelims UPSC will itself will send the application form
2.Those who pass in the main examn will be called for the personality test
3.Personality test is held in April in Newdelhi

Exam timings

1.The above said exam is conducted in the morning session between 10 am and 12 noon in the after noon  session between 2 pm and 4 pm
2.India citizens are eligible to write this examination
3.Those who got basic UG degree in any discipline can appear for preliminary examination
4.Results for IAS /Civil services examination will be published in August
